Is it possible to search Active Directory information from with Confluence?

Within Active Directory there is [General] information for each user ie.

First name

Last name

Description

Telephone Number

Office/Location

etc

Hello Darren,

There is an outstanding feature request for this functionality. It has been a long standing gripe that Confluence does not allow for custom user profiles. This feature would need to be implemented before any custom data could be pulled from LDAP

Please visit this issue and vote on it so our developers know that this is still an important issue to our community. For my part I will add this post to the ticket to further increase it's visibility.
