Is it possible to restrict view permissions to specific fields in a JIRA issue?

We would like to post some JIRA filter output on a Confluence page, for both Confluence-only users and JIRA users. Our testing has so far resulted in the Confluence-only users not being able to see the filter output at all:

We'd like them to be able to see specific field output from JIRA (JIRA # & summary), but not other fields. Is this possible?

We realize we can create a PDF of the output and post that, but we'd rather keep the link directly to JIRA so that users who have full JIRA access can see all of the output.

Beverly,

Field level security is not possible in Jira and it is not something we will be implementing in the near future. Please review the following feature request for more information as well as some suggested workarounds:

For your users in Confluence to be able to see the results of a filter, then the filter and the issues in the filter need to be public.

Another option would be while using Jira Service Desk. You can have issues be viewable to Jira Service Desk customers, and there would be internal parts that would only be viewable by Jira users.

Regards,

Shannon
