Is it possible to add "links to another server" without uploading to Confluence

Peter Ulmer March 6, 2018

We use Confluence but our company has more than one server.

I want to link to documents but without uploading them to confluence to avoid redundant content.

My expection / goal:

Link should work same as a link to a web-site.

Klicking on link opens original file stored outside of confluence server

Knows anyone How to?

Thanks Peter

Hi @Peter Ulmer

Are you talking about files or confluence pages?

If this is about files it depends on the method. I assume you have hyperlinks to your file storage. And since you can paste any hyperlinks into Confluence this is no big task, and possible. You should discuss this with your IT.

But if you talking about Confluence Pages, you can work with Application Links. Application Links unlock some features to exchange and link information between multiple Atlassian applications. Linking to Another Application
You can also always just copy the link to a Confluence Page. You need of course the permission to view the page. :)

Niklas
