Internal Server Error when creating a new space

I am trying to create a new space. System opens a modal, with a spinner turning forever.

I did open developer tools in the browser, and i see:

:8090/rest/create-dialog/1.0/space-blueprint/dialog/web-items Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error)

Are you by chance using MySQL? A similar error and symptom were reported on the forum for an older version of Confluence: Unable to create Space on Confluence 5.5.2 (clean install)

In that case, the database was MySQL and the mysql configuration file had "sql_mode=NO_AUTO_VALUE_ON_ZERO" instead of "sql_mode = NO_AUTO_CREATE_USER".

If you are not using MySQL, or the sql_mode is already set properly, please let me know so I can investigate further.
