Inline graphic causing line breaks

Hello,

I'm using 5.9 Server.

When I add a graphic file to a sentence it automatically put the graphic on the next line. All the words after the graphic then get forced onto a third line. This is what it looks like in Saved mode.

In Edit mode, this is all one sentence.

I can't find any reason in the HTML for this behaviour. I'm sure other people have done this in our instance, and Atlassian's own documentation also does this successfully. This has nothing to do with page width, columns and layout.

Any idea why this is happening and how to resolve it?

Cheers.

It turns out that it was something to do with:

  1. .wiki-content .confluence-embedded-file-wrapper .confluence-embedded-image {
  2. display: inline-block;
  3. }

We added and edited this in the spaces' style-sheet and the problem has gone away.
