Include Macro Missing - No Macro Metadata

Adam Birkner February 2, 2017

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: 'No Macro Metadata' errors

Logging into my Confluence Cloud subscription today I noticed that all of my include macros are broken.

The pages look like this: image2017-2-2 17:4:55.png

When editing I see this placeholder: image2017-2-2 17:6:25.png

Clicking into the macro gives me this error: image2017-2-2 17:7:27.png

No macro metadata

Hi Adam,

I suppose you are talking about the Include Page Macro, is that correct?
Couldn't you find this macro on browse macro menu? It can be accessed if you start typing "{" (without quotes) while editing a page, then selecting "Open macro browser" option.

If you are facing problems to find this macro or any other on the menu, you may need to rebuild the index of your confluence instance. This may be useful: Content Index Administration
