In a bulleted list, can you change the symbol of indented bullets?

Michael Faux October 23, 2016

Each bullet in a bulleted list is the same - a solid circle - regardless if the list item is indented or not.

Is it possible in Confluence Cloud for intended items to be different symbols (such as an open circle and the 2nd level)?

I found a closed JIRA issue ('won't fix') that is related https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-12263. However, it's quite old, and I'm hoping that there is a way to do this today.

In OnDemand the easiest way would be the Fancy Bullets plugin: https://www.adaptavist.com/doco/display/CFP/Fancy-bullets

I've used it and it's very good, as well as being free and from a thoroughly reputable vendor.

It's also a part of the free macros in the Content Formatting for Confluence add on for Server.
