In Confluence 5.5.7 we are trying to merge two separate WIKI spaces together into 1 single separate WIKI space while preserving the 2 original spaces

In Confluence 5.5.7 we are trying to merge two separate WIKI spaces together into 1 single separate WIKI space while preserving the 2 original spaces.  We have tried the following:

  1. Copy;  but copy does not copy the children pages only the parent pages.
  2. Exported both spaces into word format then merging the 2 word documents. and then importing the resulting word document back into Confluence. The problem is the page links within the space of the merged document don't work.

Do you know of any other way to accomplish this?  Either within Confluence functionality or plugins to Confluence.

Thanks in advance,  Kathy Perry  (University of Texas at Austin)  512 832-4260

Hi Kathy,

I would recommend using the copy space plugin:

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.confluence.plugin.copyspace

to copy the two spaces into new spaces, one of which would become your new space.  Then, you can move the pages from one space into the other space (which will bring the children pages along with the parents).  After making sure that all pages have been moved, then you can delete the now empty space.
