Import excel table as timeline

Rebecca Cathro May 20, 2019

Hello - I am trying to convert a multi-disciplinary team's project timeline into Confluence. The timeline needs to be changed on a regular basis and the roadmap macro seems a bit too clunky for a complex timeline with many rows of info. Can I import an excel gantt chart and update it within the page effectively?

Can anyone offer some advice?

Thank you!

Hello Rebecca,

There is an Office Excel macro that can be used to display Excel sheets on Confluence pages.

Another way is to create a gantt chart directly in Confluence:

  1. Using Confluence built-in Chart macro.
  2. Using Chart from Table macro (Table Filter and Charts app). There is a post on how to create gantt charts.

This is brilliant - just what I needed. Thank you.

Hi,

With "Easy Tables For Confluence", you can import data from excel into a table in Confluence.

Here the plugin and documentation
