I want my users to view all pages (unless restricted) and only edit specific page, but not others?

Jason Krykewycz May 16, 2017

I need users to view everything but not be able to edit everything.  I want to define which pages they can edit or not.  Can i give a user the ability to edit a specific page (through permission or restriction) and not the ability to edit anything else (except child pages).  seems like group permission is an all or nothing and overrides restrictions.

Yes, you may grant the permission to edit at the Space level and then apply page restrictions wherever you wish to prevent editing. Except the Admin permission, space permissions do not circumvent page restrictions.
