Make sure you have an email server configured.
set the "date range" in the addon settings.
Then set/change the cron expression under
https://CONFUENCE-ADRESS/admin/scheduledjobs/viewscheduledjobs.action
Under schedule jobs you can also manually run the reminder job.
We already had an email server configured so we just installed the addon and then we did a test run.
no configuration and all worked. the default settings for the addon is
