I'm an admin; I'm logged in; why can't people find me?

I recently became an administrator for a Confluence server site. I've logged in repeatedly, but my username does not appear in the local user directory.
I regret to say that the documentation contains no useful hints for this case, and I have users who want to add me to spaces.

Verify your a licensed user by default this is normally "confluence-user" group.
