I get this error JDBC driver class not found: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver]

Aaren Jensen June 15, 2016

I am attempting to setup the PocketQuery plugin. I fill in the database info

URL = jdbc:oracle:thin:dbhost:port:dbname

Driver = oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver

Username & Password are correct.

and continue to get the error message;

JDBC driver class not found: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver

I reviewed the logs of the Oracle install and the JDBC thin client is installed.

I am new to this, I am not sure where to go next.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

JIRA is not running on this server, just Confluence.  Does anyone know what path this add-on expects?

I don't know that plugin either, but it seems reasonable that you need to include the complete path to your jdbc driver on your JIRA server, in $JIRA_INSTALL/jira/lib/ for instance.
