I didnot find suitable instructions to upgrading confluence 5.4 to 6.1. Can i get those.

The 'DOC' folder always supplies the latest content available.

For your information, confluence 6.1 not yet been release. The latest confluence version is Confluence 5.6.5 . You can download confluence 5.6.5 from this link.

Before you upgrade please backup the following :

• Your External Database.
• Your Confluence Home Directory.
• The Confluence installation directory

Try one of the links it says the page may have moved to. Atlassian often move their documentation around, and Confluence has the function to tell you where it has gone!
