I am upgrading Confluence 5.2 to 5.6, do the upgrade updates the tomcatan jdk/jre version as well?

HI ,

My old confluence runs on Apache Tomcat 6.0 and Java 1.6. As per upgrade guide for 5.6 , apache tomcat should be on 7.0 and Java should be on 1.7.

Please let me know that do we need to update Apache tomcat and Java manually or the confluence upgrade take cares of it?

Regards

Yes, if you're using the confluence installer. This is bundled within the installer.
