I am tying to create a tree template with its children and excerpt in it.

I want to use this template (tree + child) for each new project i create. Is that possible. SOmething like copy page tree add on provides but without add on.

And just to discard the option, have you tried Confluence's native option to copy a parent and its children? and if this doesn't work for you, why would that be?
