Team has send me requests to approve the Desktop instructions and when I try to open the link, I get a message that I do not have access to perform the approval process.

Could you please also share a screenshot of the error? Are you using any plugin to setup approval process on your site? One reason could be that you do not have space permissions or view/edit access to a restricted page.
