How to update spacing when pasting Word table into Confluence?

When I copy the table from the wod doc into Confluence, it appends double quotes. Of course, I can remove the double spacing with shift enter but I lose the formatting.

From Confluence to JIRA, it is not possible. JIRA uses wiki markup but Confluence uses xhtml. Reverse is possible using Confluence's wiki markup macro.

Pressed enter too early, attached tables, paste looks fine, just need to remove double spacing.
