I'd like to either be able to search w/in the results of the previous search or enter a search string in such a way that successive search parameters apply only to the results of the sum of the previous parameters in the search string

Thank you, Robby; I'll take a look at those articles. After being away from a large information database for a couple years, I've accessed it only to find out that Confluence appears to be their default interface for locating documents. (I tried to retire, but I was talked into coming back part time; oh well.)

Welcome to Community! Search in confluence isn't that advanced by default. There maybe an app available in the marketplace but not that I know of
The best way I have found to search is to filter my search results down to the space you want to search or author and then search for what you are looking for
Alternatively you can tag pages with labels etc to make them a bit more searchable, but that doesnt' always work
If you are determining whether to go cloud or data center as server is eol in 2024 and search is important I would recommend looking into cloud

Clark

Thank you, Clark. I'm new to Confluence and still trying to get a better understanding of how it works
