How to restore Confluence?

Ian White May 31, 2016

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Restoring a Space

The site was backed up, so apparently that means I can't import, but need to restore. The Kb article Restoring a Place references "Backup and Restore" which are not options in Confluence, and other Kb articles are recursive loops, so it's not clear how do do this! Backup is 300MB compressed and directory structure of backup is below

Hi Ian,

I believe the page you're referencing (Restoring a Space) is meant for Confluence Server backups, not Confluence Cloud. This explains why the "Backup and Restore" section is inapplicable to you.

If you want to restore the site backup to Confluence Server, please refer to this page for instructions: Migrate from Confluence Cloud to Server.

If you want to restore the site backup to another Confluence Cloud site, please refer to this page for instructions: Migrate from Confluence Server to Cloud (only follow step 5).

Hope this is useful to you. smile Let me know how it goes!

Regards,
Athirah Zolkefli
