How to remove the watches from a user after he no longer has acces to the space

Ivo Smet March 3, 2015

We have a user who moved to another department, and therefor no longer has acces to our space.

However he still gets notifications from the pages in our space he watched before.

How can we remove his watches from all our pages?

Hi Ivo,

I wrote a user macro that you can use to manage the watches for another user:

https://bitbucket.org/stephendeutsch/confluence-user-macros/src/bb28804121a99ccd01b95d0ebed4097468d0244d/bulk%20remove%20watchers/remove%20watches%20for%20user.vm?at=master

If you are a confluence administrator, you can manage watches for others, and if you are not, then you only see your own watches.

I would recommend having him navigate to his "Watches" page (Profile drop-down > Watches) and then click the Stop Watching links on the right-hand side.
