How to redirect a requests to a whole space to a whole new Confluence instance?

Thomas Fritz March 8, 2012

We have exported one of our spaces and imported it then in a new confluence instance. Is it possible to redirect request to the space in the "old" confluence instance to the new one from within confluence?

Otherwise i thought of creating the redirect rules directly in the reverse proxy of the old confluence instance. What do you think?

Kind regards

I'd also go with the re-direct rules in reverse proxy, it's the only way the capture everything. Just like Andrew said.

if for some reason you can't do that, you could delete all the pages in the old space & leave a redirect on with a message but only if you won't want to do the re-write rules.

Easiest way to to inline redirect is

Hi Thomas,

Personally, I'd create the redirect rules in the reverse proxy.

Just my 2 cents.

Andrew.
