How to manage documentation for each product release?

Yuri Romashchenko March 10, 2016

We released next version of product and added/changed some topics in documentation portal. How to register new version of documentation and switch between them on page? I see Confluence documentation portal can do it.

HI,

They are using a plugins called Scroll Versions and Scroll Viewport. The scroll version plugin is what is used to have different versions so that is the main one you would need to look into. The viewport plugin is more of a theme to be used with Scroll Versions.

Thanks Alex.

Unfortunately, Scroll Version is very expensive for small development group. It's worth it, maybe. Will find other solutions...

HI,

Yes unfortunately it is but it is a very good plugin. There is no built in way of doing what Atlassian does on their website without this plugin though.

Only other solution would be to create separate spaces for all those versions and add a drop down that takes you to that space when you select one. You would need to create a custom theme with that dropdown functionality in it.
