How to limit page width on confluence documentation theme

Hi ,

We are using confluence 5.0.7 . We want to limit page width.

We tried

#splitter-content {
width: 980px;
}

but it is hidden by

element.style{

width: 1168px;

}

So my change did not applied. Is there any way to achieve it?

#splitter-content {

  width: 980px !important;
