How to insert videos from Chinese hosts in Confluence? Edited

Nelly I'm New Here Dec 04, 2017

Hello. We have a problem with inserting a video from a Chinese resource. For example: i.youku.com
We tried to connect via Widget connector and through Html5, but they still are not displayed. We inserted URL in the same way as we normally insert all the youtube videos.
Maybe there is some solution?

Hello Nelly,

Currently, the Widget Connector only supports the following sites:

  • YouTube
  • Vimeo
  • MySpace Video
  • Flickr
  • Twitter
  • Slide Rocket
  • Google Calendar

I have created a feature request below for users to vote on if they wish to see youku.com support:

Please vote on and watch the case in order to see any updates in the future.

As an alternative, you can either link to the video, or attach a video as a file to your Confluence page and embed it using the Multimedia Macro.

Let me know if you have any questions about this.

Kind regards,

Shannon
