How to handle licenses for temporary installations, that will move to different servers?

Ray Ward May 27, 2014

I am prototyping the Atlassian development stack on a PC until we get our server hardware set up. How should I handle the purchased server licenses? Can I install them on my PC and then transfer them to the RHEL servers? How do I do this, exactly?

We have bought Bamboo, Jira, Agile, Capture, Confluence, Clover, Crucible, Fisheye, Stash.

If you've purchased commercial licences, you have access to "developer" licences too - use those for the PC installations, and save the real licences for the servers (actually, it's really not that hard to shift them around, it's just slightly easier if you don't have to bother)
