How to embed a Web page in a Wiki page.

sidhartha May 5, 2015

I want to embed a Web page in a Wiki page. I have tried using iframe and HTML macro. These macros work when the Web page is  simple(non-content rich). However, for content-rich Web page, I am having difficulty in viewing the Web page. Any suggestions?

The html macros are intended for snippets of html at best, they're not a complete rendering solution and they have to live within Confluence's own framework.  Your html would have to be modified so that it can be rendered within Confluence.

The iframe is a better idea, as the page is then not being affected by Confluence's html.  But again, your html has to be written in a way that suits the iframe.

I'm afraid the right solutions here are:

  • amend your html to be confluence or iframe friendly
  • link to it instead of try to render it
  • extract the data from the other system and render it in confluence
