How to customize the login page of Confluence?

Madhumita Datta September 24, 2015

Hi

We are in a plan to customize the login page (page in which we enter our username and password) in Confluence to contain a hyper link through which users can fill a form and request for access. Is there any way to change the HTML source code of the login page to incorporate this requirement.

Please suggest any method to achieve this.

Regards
Madhumita.

In addition to the suggestions above, you need to have in mind the following files, that are responsible for modifications of content in the login screen:

  • login.vm (inside the <Confluence Install/confluence> folder)
  • login.vmd (inside the <Confluence Install/confluence/decorators)

These are the main responsible for such modifications. If you want to change the text in the login page, for example, you can refer to this other page.

Hope it helps you!

Hi there,

Yes, it is possible to customise the HTML code. You should edit the login.vm file which is located inside the Install-Directory/confluence folder.

You can refer to the below article for more instructions: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Customising+the+Login+Page

Thanks.
