We have upgraded lately to v6.12
Ever since all the users that we have on the confluence-administrators group receive an email notification for any request for access by other users. It didn't happen in the previous version and I can't find where it's defined in the system. Anyone is familiar with this? thanks
Hi Einat, and welcome to Community!
Apparently, v6.8 introduced a new request for access notification sequence. It's defined here:
Confluence chooses people to contact in the following order:
- people who have contributed to the page, can still see the page, and have 'Restrict' or 'Admin' space permission (sorted by last edit date)
- space administrators who can see the page (sorted alphabetically)
Hope this helps!
Carolyn
Hi Carolyn:)
Thanks for answering so quickly!
Very useful information.
Do you know if Confluence allows to modify it?
I would like to remove some of the administrators from receiving this type of notification as it spams their email.
Thanks!
Einat

You're welcome :)
Maybe you can reconfigure how you structure and use your user groups. For example, for any 'troublesome' spaces, you can use a different new group of users for that space admin, so that 'confluence-administrators' group is not getting spammed.
