How to access to the breadcrumbs.vm file?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: How to disable hiding (ellipsing) of breadcrumbs

Hi all,

In order to change the default ' / ' symbol (by ' > ' ) in the breadcrumb, how can I access to the breadcrumbs.vm file?

Via the 'General Configuration' menus or do I need to edit the file directly on the server?
