How stable is collaborative editing for Confluence cloud?

Collaborative editing seems to still be in beta for Confluence Cloud, how stable is it? Where can we see a list of current issues with it? Should we enable it?

Hi,

You can see a list of reported bugs about "collaborative editing" where the status of the bug is not Closed or Resolved, here.  You may want to change that query to see what kind of problems have been resolved already.

There don't appear to be any show-stoppers in there, considering the small number of bugs and the fact that there are a very large number of users.  According to this page Atlassian are planning on releasing it to all customers "pretty soon", so it'll just be turned on anyway.

However, no-one but you can decide if you should enable it now - the risk-reward ratio that you're comfortable with is something only you know.

Thanks for the quick reply (just looking for assurance anyways) smile

Good luck, hope it works well for you.

In my experience, editing an article at the same time with any kind of rapidity or vigor is extremely buggy and frustrating.  (Cursor jumps, weird deletes and indents, other users actions being applied to your cursor position, etc.)  We're using Confluence Cloud, and it's pretty rotten compared to the seamless experience of Google docs.
