How do you edit the search results page?

Patrick Illian July 3, 2012

I would like to edit the search results page so that if a person's search yields no results, there is a custom message and an option to email the admin with info on what they were searching for.

Is this possible? I notice you can edit the global layouts of the dashboard and what not. Just looking to see if there is a similar option for the search results menu.

If you don't want to go the plugin route, you could work with the global layouts:

Yeah, I think this is the most practical for me at the moment. Thanks for the response!
