How do I convert a customized space to a Template in Confluence?

Oludare Olorunfemi May 29, 2024

I create space for different product teams from time to time and it requires certain similar default pages which are common to each of these teams.  What I need is how to convert one of the team spaces to a Template which can be easily deployed whenever I need a fresh space for a new team.

@Oludare Olorunfemi You can set up a space with your "template" pages and instruct users to copy the pages to a new space they create.

Thank you @Barbara Szczesniak for this tip.  I hope Atlassian would actually develop this functionality as it will make it a lot easier and faster than all the copy and paste workaround.

I don't think you can, at least not directly with confluence.

You may need to cut and paste aspects of your space into a template.  They may be an addon that can help.
