How do I add the current user to exported PDF?

Robert Imhoff September 20, 2016

I want to make it so each exported PDF watermarks the current user on the footer of the PDF document (for DRM tracking type situations).  Is there a way to call out "current user is x" and then place their login name in the footer?

Hi Robert,

What do you mean by "current user" - do you want to have the name of the page author, or the name of the user performing the export?

Both would be possible with our Scroll PDF Exporter (see our docs for further information about all available placeholders).

Unfortunately Scroll PDF Exporter is not yet available for Confluence Cloud - we're working hard on the GA release for the Cloud and plan to also support similar placeholders in the cloud variant in mid-term.

Please feel free to watch the following improvement request in our JIRA system: https://k15t.jira.com/browse/EXP-632 - we'll update this issue once the Scroll PDF Exporter is available for Confluence Cloud and will add the placeholder functionality as soon as possible.

Cheers,

Nils
