How do I add an attachment without the preview option?

How do I add an attachment without the preview option?   Whenever I add a file to a document in Confluence, it shows a placeholder with a preview of the document.  I'd rather have just the file, and not a preview of the file.

Thanks!

Doug

Two options:

  • Drag the attachments when in view mode (not edit mode)
    OR
  • Drag the attachments in edit mode, then delete the placeholder (the file remains attached, but not visible)

Thank you. I also notice if you 'right click' on the placeholder a popup window appears with the option to "Show as Link".  That also did the trick.

I did attempt to drag the attachment while in view mode, and it looks like it added it, but was nowhere to be found. I tried 3 times.

But it's working!  Thank you for your help.

They're found under ••• --> Attachments
