How can I use the filter "//" dates within a table using the filter macro?

Hi there!

I have a table within an exerpt macro inside a table filter macro, and I want to use the table filter macro to filter dates within a certain range (september 2019), but my efforts so far have proven unsuccessful.  See below screenshot for an excerpt of the table:confluence table filtering on date macro.png

 

I've added the "Certificate Issuer and Expiry" column to the table filter's "Date range filter columns" setting:

When viewing the table, I create a date filter on the column for September 2019 dates only, and it doesn't filter. What am I doing wrong? confluence table filtering on date macro filtered.png
