This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Viewing User Profile
I am looking to setup a user/employee directory on our confluence site. I'd like to be able to search user profiles based on content on their user pages, not just their name. Is this possible? I ran a test by putting content in my 'about me' section of my user profile, and then I used the general confluence search to search for that content, and my profile page wasn't returned in the search.
Is there a way to do this?
Text in the About Me section definitely shows up in Confluence Cloud.
You can also limit the search results to just personal pages by either adding Personal spaces to the IN SPACE field, or adding a label (e.g. user_page) to each user page, and then adding the label as a search filter.
I wonder if this is using live templates behind the scenes. We are seeing that issue with live templates and search. The content on the page isn't returning in the search results.
