How can I give a group access to a page without access to the space?

Tim Kerns August 18, 2016

It looks like I can't easily give someone access to a page within a space without giving them access to the space as well.  Is this true?   What are people doing when you want to share a page across spaces without giving access to the space?

Yes, you need to first give them access to the space.

It is kind of tricky because you will then have to restrict the individual pages. If a page is not restricted, it becomes visible to everyone who has access to the page. The good thing is that the "view page" restrictions are inherited and so you can restrict a top level page to hide everything under it.

You can organize content into different hierarchies, some of them restricted at the top level page and some not.
