How can I display who edited a field in confluence

I am creating a release approval page and for each area i need to capture the approvals from different team members.  I want a user to be able to update the Status column and have their name or userid display in the Approved by column automatically - kind of like an audit trail.

Any helpful tips are appreciated!

Phew, looks like a compex question.

Not sure if it would help, but could you go for having each section a seperate page with approval macro and if needed use the Include macro to create the one page overview?
