Hosting documents on an external site

I am using Mac ios and wanted to know if I purchase Confluence server version and set up my document environment, can I post my documents to an external server (our company website)?

I read in one of the blogs that you will not support Confluence server to post documents to external server. If this true, then its a concern as this would defeat the purpose of our plan to move the complete authoring environment

is there one or two servers involved in your scenario? Where is/are the servers running? You edit a Confluence page on ONE server. You can attach files to that page. These files are stored on the server you're editing the page on.

What do you mean by "external server"?
