HipChat Auth Token appears to be invalid

I have added an admin token to our confluence server. But when I try to enable HipChat on a space, I get an error message that says, "Your HipChat Auth Token appears to be invalid".

What am I doing wrong? I am coppying and pasting the token into the Admin Token area and for the API Base URL I am using https://myHipchatSubdomain.hipchat.com

Hi Clay, Akhila,

I would suggest you to try this step-by-step:

• Double check your auth key. For APIv2, it should be 40 characters long and sometimes a character can be omitted when are selecting the token to copy and paste (usually first or last).
• Make sure you're using the latest HipChat plugin (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.labs.hipchat.confluence-hipchat) and note the versions.
• Try and generate a new token and see if that works.
