We have a Confluence page that shows all our employees with pictures. It's a table that is sorted by last name and with rows per Picture and info (name, start date, office)

We have about 250 employees and therefore high res pictures on the page.

In Confluence Server the page wasn't the fastest to load but it was bearable. Now in Cloud, load times are horrific and we already had to downsize (reduce resolution) for all pictures. As well as load times, we have issues with sizing and resolutions as well.

I've already tried out multiple other designs and even 3rd party Apps.

Does anyone have a better solution?

Hi @Rebekka Heilmann _viadee_

I think you can use Confluence Databases for this use case.

Here's the video made by K15t (they developed Orderly Databases app which was then acquired by Atlassian). Around 2:20+ mark, they begin talking about displaying a list of specific Confluence users.

In another video, they seem to show using a Confluence page with what looks like a similar use case too.

Another App that does Databases is out of the question. We recently upgraded to Premium so it would have to be Atlassian's own Databases which I'm still not convinced of.

@Rebekka Heilmann _viadee_ Since I don't use the databases feature, my first thought was that you might want to make expand sections that a reader could click on to show a subset of the employees.

Maybe by last name: A-F, G-L, etc. or by department: Marketing, Sales, etc.

Now that you can nest tables in an expand! Nope, I just checked this article again, and you can't (https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-articles/Content-nesting-enhancements-in-Confluence-Cloud/ba-p/2629303) 😢. However, you can now insert media in a panel and embed a panel in an expand, so maybe you can finagle something that will work. (If you do, please let us know.)

Another idea was to have Child pages per Letter and include them in the Parent page? Not sure what that does to performance though and not had the chance to try out.

Also, formatting wise a table makes perfect sense. Performance wise and with all the restrictions it's just not practical..
