Dear All,
we met a weird problem: there are a plenty of groups in our Confluence instance which serve only restriction purposes: it means that the group is not assigned to the space's global permission but restricts some pages within the space.
We have a policy that only the admins of a space can ask for group memberships. This is the usual way but in this case there is a problem: we don't know about these restriction groups to which space grant they access.
Is there a script or plugin, feature, etc. with we could see in which space(s) the restriction group is in use?
Thanks in advance,
Rumi
Yes, you can refer to the permgroupname and spaceid columns and see to which spaces the groups have permissions against.
can you please confirm that this table also contains the restriction groups too? Which are not displayed in the Admin->Permissions menu.
Thanks,
Rumi

Hi Rumi,
You can probably find out to which space this groups have permissions to by querying the database, more precisely in the SPACEPERMISSIONS table.
In addition, if these groups are able to apply restrictions to spaces then they probably have system administrators, which gives them global permissions over all spaces. You can confirm that in the Confluence Admin > Global Permissions section.
Cheers.
