The user should be able to insert the macros successfully.
The user is not able to see the recent activities in activity stream macro. Instead the user is seeing an error - Unable to resolve the server's DNS address.
I did the steps on my confluence and it works smoothly. Well, the error message is saying that it is a DNS problem, so, could you verify it your DNS is configured properly on confluence server ? If you are running confluence on Linux, you could edit the file /etc/resolv.conf and insert the parameter as below:
After it, restart the network service and try to add the macro again.
If you are running your confluence on windows server, just edit the network interface on windows and make sure that your first DNS address is your internal DNS Server.
If that doesn't work, please verify your DNS Configuration on your DNS Server to check if the server is accepting DNS requests from the IP Address from your confluence.
Hope it helps,
