FTP and Autolink from a Confluence Space

Michael Lee January 1, 2013

We have a requirement where we need to allow users to upload documents from a Confluence space, and store those documents on an external server. A link then needs to be created in the Confluence space which points to the uploaded document.

For example,
1] Bob logs onto Confluence Space "Bob Home"
2] Bob uploads a document, "Foo.xml", from "Bob Home"
3] Foo.xml is sent to an external server, "xxx.xxx.x.x"
4] A link shows up on "Bob Home" that shows "xxx.xxx.x.x/Foo.xml"

Is this possible? Would we need to develop custom code or are there existing plugins that could assist?

Thanks!

Hi Mike,

As far as I know there are no existing plugins that provide this functionality, thus I believe this has to be developed by yourself. Alternatively you may contact an Atlassian Expert (http://www.atlassian.com/resources/experts) who can give you a quote on the proposed solution.

Kind regards,

Peter
