Exporting data from demo version

Doug Ledbetter February 14, 2019

We had a demo of Confluence where we created some content.  That demo expired and we purchased the 10 license starter license.

Now, we would like to export data from the demo version.  I got an updated demo license and applied it, but it's not starting up.  The screen gives these error messages:

1. Pre-Upgrade recovery file generation failed.
Please refer to https://confluence.atlassian.com/x/ropKGQ for possible solution. (Failed to generate recovery file)

2. Post-Upgrade recovery file generation failed.
Please refer to https://confluence.atlassian.com/x/ropKGQ for possible solution. (Failed to generate recovery file)

3. Unable to start up Confluence. Fatal error during startup sequence: confluence.lifecycle.core:mananagedjobs (Start and stop the Managed Scheduled Jobs) (JDBC exception on Hibernate data access: SQLException for SQL [n/a]; SQL state [HY000]; error code [50000]; could not extract ResultSet; nested exception is org.hibernate.exception.GenericJDBCException: could not extract ResultSet)

I can provide logs if necessary.

Thanks,

-Doug

That article, if I'm reading it correctly, means I'm out of luck.  I didn't manually kick off an upgrade.  I just applied an updated demo license and then it automatically tried to perform an upgrade.  The pre-upgrade recovery file generation failed.

Other suggestions?

Thanks,

-Doug

@Doug Ledbettertry to revert the changes you've made. After you've reverted the changes, make a full backup from Confluence.  Configure a new instance and restore it using the XML backup.
