I'm a new Confluence On Demand user but every day I receive the "we are currently experiencing difficulties" message intermittently. This happens even when trying to access the online help page. Why is this? Can this be avoided? It's a huge productivity killer. Thanks.
This is likely an issue with reaching the destination where your OnDemand instance lives. There have been reports of customers who continuously get this message while Atlassian OnDemand is up and running fine. It usually boils down to a network issue.
My first suggestion would be to contact your ISP and ask them questions regarding your service. Then I would talk to Atlassian support regarding where your connection is coming from (routed via your ISP) and if they have any kind of blacklisting going on with your ISP.
There have been instances in the past where Atlassian's hosting service has pushed their own blacklists (mistakenly - which was corrected) to Atlassian's services.
Atlassian is very good about announcing outages so if they haven't announced it and you are still seeing this message, my instincts say networking issue.
