Errors after trial license download froze

Hello,

 

I installed the latest trial version of Confluence and while I was trying to obtain a trial key, confluence froze.  I restarted the service and received the following error and as shown in the screenshot.  Known issue?conf error.jpg

 

HTTP Status 500 - java.lang.IllegalStateException: Spring Application context has not been set

Hi Jason,

I believe there was some problem while writing the configuration file in Confluence at the startup. I suggest to:

1) Shutdown Confluence

2) Go to my.atlassian.com and retrieve an evaluation license from there

3) Remove the Confluence_home directory (The one that contains the confluence.cfg.xml file)

4) Start Confluence again

5) Provide the license from my.atlassian.com at the initial screen to setup confluence once more
