I have integrated an on premise Confluence setup with Okta. Confluence is connected to our backend AD for user authentication. I am unable to auto create users in Confluence if they do not exist.
There is a setting "Copy User on Login" which does this but only available in JIRA. I could not find it in Confluence or something similar.
Appreciate any pointers !
Crowd is not required for LDAP authentication or automatically adding users to a group on initial login. If you go to the Directory Configuration Summary in your running instance then you should see the 'confluence-users' as an attribute
{application url}/confluence/plugins/servlet/embedded-crowd/support/directories Attributes: "autoAddGroups":"confluence-users"
If it is not then you may need to modify the directory configuation used for the LDAP directory.
HINT: You can not modify a directory if you are logged in as a member of that directory so use the local system account you created when you installed Confluence.
I recommend you open a ticket with Atlassian Support if you cant get this workiing right away.
