Hi,
We have a number of internal videos (quite large files, ie >1GB) that we would like to embed into Confluence pages without having to attach them to Confluence itself.
We are not allowed to have these video leave our internal network so YouTube/Vimeo is not an option.
Any ideas?
Yes, there is a solution now available: https://github.com/1and1/video-integration-plugin-confluence
Now you can integrate videos from web-resource as a stream.

I just attached my video files (converted from MP4 to webm, not sure if MP4 would have worked just as well), then inserted an HTML area in my wiki page, then used the video tag (HTML5 browser compliant only) pointing the src variable to the link for the attachment (hover over the attached file link, right-click, copy link URL) (http://www.w3schools.com/html/html5_video.asp).
